The story

e-conomic was founded in 2001 as a cloud accounting system for Danish SMBs and became the dominant player, covering more than half of the local market with ~270,000 customers. Acquired by Visma Group in 2015, it has since become part of Visma's broader European embedded-finance push. In 2025 it announced an embedded card product via Swedish expense-management provider Mynt, following similar moves across Visma's accounting portfolio.
