The story

Founded in 2011 in Hamburg as an 'open banking' platform for deposits — letting retail banks without savings products offer third-party deposit accounts to their own customers, and letting funding-hungry banks reach depositors without building retail infrastructure. Deutsche Bank became a client in 2017 and took a 4.9% equity stake in 2019, turning Deposit Solutions into Germany's second fintech unicorn. The company subsequently merged with Raisin to form Raisin DS; the deposit-solutions.com domain now redirects to Raisin's country selector, and the corporate entity is Raisin SE, Berlin.
