The story

CtrlFleet was founded in 2024 in South Africa by two operators-turned-founders (a supply-chain MSc and a fintech-experienced applied mathematician from a family transport business) to unify disparate telematics, scheduling, and compliance tools for road freight fleets. It is a pure vertical SaaS play — priced in ZAR per vehicle per month — targeting African transporters and their cross-border customers. There is no embedded finance layer in the product today; the platform integrates with third-party tracking, fuel networks, and ERPs rather than issuing accounts, cards, or credit.
