CrediCuotas

Can a digital installment-lending fintech become the primary credit and payment layer for Argentina's unbanked and underbanked consumers by embedding loans directly into merchant checkout — online and in-store?

The story

Founded in 2013 as an in-store consumer installment-lending company serving Argentines without credit cards through a network of affiliated retail merchants. Over time CrediCuotas built a fully digital, 100% online channel for personal loans, adding BNPL (buy-now-pay-later) for e-commerce partners and a bill-payment/mobile-recharge product. The strategic bet is to become the financial layer for the unbanked and underbanked Argentine consumer — owning the credit underwriting, the merchant POS integration, and the repayment collection rail, all without holding a bank charter.
