“Can a Nordic specialty bank stay competitive in consumer lending and savings while its parent (Norion) pushes upmarket into corporate and real-estate finance?”
Founded in 1999 as a Swedish finance company by Lena Apler, Collector grew into a niche bank serving both SMEs and consumers, IPO'd on Nasdaq Stockholm in 2015, and expanded across the Nordics with offices in Gothenburg, Stockholm, Helsingborg, Oslo and Helsinki. In 2022 the group restructured under a new parent brand — Norion Bank AB — segmenting the business into three distinct brands: Norion Bank for corporate & real-estate lending, Walley for merchant payments/BNPL, and Collector for the consumer bank (personal loans, credit cards, savings accounts). The Collector.se domain today represents only the consumer arm.
