The story

Founded 2006 as WeatherBill selling weather insurance to farmers, rebranded to The Climate Corporation in 2011. Acquired by Monsanto in 2013 for ~$1B and pivoted from insurance to a pure digital farming SaaS play — Climate FieldView launched in 2015 as a data platform for seed prescription, scouting and yield analysis. Now operates as a subsidiary of Bayer Crop Science following the Bayer-Monsanto merger; the product is distributed globally with an ecosystem of 60+ platform partners.
