Founded in 2018 as Extracker, a change-order communication tool for commercial construction, rebranded to Clearstory in 2023. The company sits at the intersection of field operations and finance — moving CORs and T&M tags between GCs, specialty contractors, and owners — but is deliberately NOT an ERP/accounting system, instead integrating with Procore, Sage, Viewpoint Vista, CMiC, and others. In 2026 it pushed into AI-native change-order pricing with Clearstory AI agents.
