ChurchTrac

Can a bootstrapped, ministry-first ChMS remain the low-price leader for small churches by keeping embedded finance to a thin Stripe pass-through rather than a full financial-services stack?

The story

ChurchTrac is a bootstrapped, pastor-founded church management platform serving 13,000+ churches. Its embedded finance surface is deliberately narrow: donations processed via Stripe (each church connects its own Stripe merchant account), with fund accounting, giving statements, and bank sync built in-house. There is no BaaS, card issuing, lending, or payroll — the company remains a lean 4-person operation focused on affordability for small ministries.
