The story

Founded in 2020, Changera launched as a mobile-first cross-border payments and multi-currency wallet platform focused on Africa and the African diaspora. The platform expanded to include virtual Visa cards, stablecoin support (USDT, USDC), and Stellar network integrations via MoneyGram for cash-in/cash-out. In 2023 it became part of the Bitmama ecosystem through the Payday acquisition, deepening its blockchain-based cross-border rails. The company also established a UAE-licensed virtual asset custody entity (Changer.ae) under the Abu Dhabi Global Market FSRA.
