The group built Market Pay as a captive payment institution to centralise acquiring and POS across 30 countries, while FINIFAC provides supplier financing in France and Banco Carrefour operates consumer and B2B financial products in Brazil. The strategic direction is to own the financial layer of its retail ecosystem — from supplier factoring and consumer credit to digital banking — rather than rely exclusively on third-party providers.
