The story

Founded in 2022 by fintech veterans from Stripe, Microsoft, Lyft, and Tipalti, CapitalOS was purpose-built as embedded spend management infrastructure for B2B vertical SaaS platforms. Rather than targeting businesses directly, CapitalOS sells to platforms (e.g. field service management, SMB verticals) that want to offer their own branded charge cards, expense management, bill pay, and working capital to their users via a single API call. The company positions itself as the full-stack provider — handling credit underwriting, risk, capital deployment, compliance, and embeddable UI — differentiating from BaaS providers that require platforms to stitch together multiple infrastructure layers.
