The story

Brasilprev is Brazil's largest private pension provider (26.5% market share, ~R$471.6B AUM, 2.5M+ clients), owned by BB Seguros (Banco do Brasil) and Principal Financial Group. Historically a pure previdência privada (VGBL/PGBL) manufacturer distributed through Banco do Brasil branches, it has recently pushed into embedded lending — piloting pension-collateralized loans in 2024 and, by 2026, becoming a banking correspondent to originate credit directly through its own channels while preserving the pension balance.
