“Can a Brazilian universal-bank investment banking arm maintain league-table leadership in ECM, DCM and M&A while the parent group builds embedded finance rails around it?”
Bradesco BBI is the investment banking arm of Banco Bradesco S.A., Brazil's third largest bank. Its business is institutional: M&A advisory, ECM (IPOs, follow-ons), fixed income origination (debentures, CRIs, FIDCs, FIIs), project finance, and Global Markets sales & trading in São Paulo, London, New York and Hong Kong. It is not itself an embedded-finance platform — the embedded-finance activity within the Bradesco group (LaaS for e-commerces/ERPs, B2B payment portal) sits at the parent bank, not at BBI. BBI's stack is that of a wholesale/institutional bank rather than a fintech consumer of BaaS.
