Founded in 2013 as easySYS and rebranded to bexio in 2015, the company built an all-in-one cloud accounting/CRM/invoicing suite for Swiss SMEs. Acquired by Swiss insurer Die Mobiliar in 2018, bexio has since layered embedded finance onto the accounting core — deep bank connectivity via SIX bLink to 65+ Swiss banks, and in 2024 the bexio Pay multi-currency debit card in partnership with amnis. The strategic direction is turning the accounting product into the financial cockpit for Swiss micro-businesses.
