The story

Azul Seguros is the value/entry-tier auto insurance brand of Grupo Porto Seguro, Brazil's third-largest insurer. Originally AXA Seguros' Brazilian arm, it was acquired by Porto Seguro in 2003 and rebranded in 2004 to serve price-sensitive auto customers. It operates with its own administration but leverages Porto Seguro's group infrastructure — including Porto Bank for card issuance and financing, and the broader Porto ecosystem for claims and services. Embedded finance touchpoints are minimal and mostly premium-billing oriented (boletos, Pix, débito em conta, cartão Porto Bank).
