The story

Founded in 2021 as DolarApp, a Y Combinator-backed app letting Mexicans hold synthetic dollars via USDc stablecoin. Expanded to Colombia and Brazil in 2023-2025 using a jurisdiction-specific regulated-entity-per-country model (Pier 5 in MX, DAPP in CO, Atlas Brasil IP + ARQ PSAV in BR). Rebranded to ARQ in 2026 to signal evolution from a single-product remittance alternative into a cross-border consumer and SMB neobank offering multi-currency accounts, international cards, stablecoin-backed credit, wealth/investments, and yield-bearing USDc accounts.
