The story

AngelList began in 2010 as an investor-startup matchmaking platform and evolved through AngelList Syndicates and Rolling Funds into a full-stack venture infrastructure company. By 2022 it had launched AngelList Stack — a suite covering company formation, cap table management, fundraising, and embedded banking — targeting startups and fund managers directly. The embedded finance layer (BaaS via Unit, networked banking via Grasshopper Bank and Piermont Bank) represents its transformation from marketplace to fintech infrastructure for the startup ecosystem.
