The story

Founded 2019 as Indonesia's first fully online retail stock brokerage targeting the millennial mass market with low-fee mutual funds and equities. Reached unicorn status in 2021 on the back of Robinhood-style retail trading momentum, backed by Ribbit, DST, and SoftBank. Has since expanded into a multi-asset super-app — adding crypto (Ajaib Kripto), bonds, US stocks, and the Ajaib Alpha trader platform — operating under three separately licensed Indonesian entities (Sekuritas, Takjub for crypto, Futures Asia). The strategic question is whether Ajaib can become the default investing OS for Southeast Asia's retail generation across every asset class.
