The story

AIICO is a 60+ year old Nigerian composite insurer (life + non-life) that has expanded into a broader financial services group over the past decade — spinning up AIICO Capital (investment management, 2012) and AIICO Capital Finance (consumer/SME lending, annuity-backed loans). Its embedded-finance angle is 'embedded insurance': it has publicly stated a strategy of embedding insurance into partner distribution (e.g. Coscharis for auto), and its developer portal (docs.aiicoplc.com) exposes REST APIs for motor, travel, personal accident, home content, shop content, domestic travel, and life payments so partners can sell AIICO cover from their own channels.
