Agro Økonomi was founded in 1986 as a specialized desktop accounting suite for Norwegian farms, agricultural accountants and primary-industry businesses. Ownership passed to Tripletex AS (Visma group), and the two products were progressively integrated as Agro's capabilities were lifted into Tripletex's cloud platform. The product is now in wind-down: Agro.no explicitly tells customers that the Agro license cannot be used for bookkeeping with voucher dates in 2024 or later, and funnels users to Tripletex for ongoing accounting. The remaining Agro installations provide read-only historical access and 2023 year-end filings for sole proprietors.
