The story

Founded in 2018 as a point-of-sale installment lender in Colombia, modeled after Affirm but targeting the largely unbanked and credit-thin Colombian consumer. Scaled rapidly through a dual-sided merchant-consumer network and in 2024 obtained a Colombian banking license, shifting from a pure BNPL lender toward a full commerce-and-banking platform that now includes deposits and payments. The marketplace app evolved into a standalone shopping channel, and total debt commitments exceed $680M, underscoring the transition from startup to regulated financial institution.
