“Can a 25-year-old aggregator reinvent itself as the neutral open-finance data layer for banks and fintechs post-Envestnet?”
Founded 1999 as one of the original financial data aggregators, Yodlee IPO'd on NASDAQ in 2014 and was acquired by Envestnet in 2015 to power its wealth management data layer. In 2019 it built out an AISP-licensed open banking arm for EU/UK PSD2. In 2025 STG carved Yodlee out of Envestnet as a standalone portfolio company, repositioning it as an independent open finance / data aggregation infrastructure provider competing with Plaid, MX, Finicity and TrueLayer.
Yodlee connects to bank accounts through Yodlee (self-operated) and yodlee.
Yodlee's crypto products run on bastion.
The Embedded Finance Index 2026 maps 4 layers in Yodlee's stack: Lending (Credit Solutions (cash flow analytics + alternative data for lenders)); Open banking (Yodlee (self-operated) and yodlee); Crypto (bastion); Transaction enrichment (Yodlee (self-operated)).
Yodlee is founded in 1999 and headquartered in Raleigh, NC, United States.
