Founded in 2008, Weclapp grew as a cloud-based all-in-one ERP and CRM platform targeting German-speaking SMBs across e-commerce, wholesale, manufacturing, and services. The platform expanded from CRM and invoicing into full merchandise management, warehouse management, financial accounting, and project management. It was acquired by Exact Group (a Dutch business software company) via a buyout/LBO and now operates as an operating subsidiary. Weclapp's embedded finance footprint is limited to third-party integrations — payment service providers, accounting exports (DATEV, e-invoicing), and document automation — rather than operating its own financial services.
