WealthKernel was founded as an API-first investing infrastructure provider targeting UK fintechs and neobanks that lacked the regulatory capacity or technology to build investing in-house. The platform evolved from single-market UK custody and trading into a vertically integrated, modular stack covering onboarding, ISA/SIPP/GIA wrappers, multi-currency fractional trading, portfolio management, and open banking-enabled funding. The addition of an Appointed Representative (AR) service extended the value proposition beyond pure infrastructure into acting as a regulatory umbrella for smaller clients, further deepening the embedded finance stack it supports.
