The story

Founded in 1977 as a traditional Brazilian meal-voucher (VR/VA) company, VR Benefícios has evolved from a payment-card issuer for food benefits into a broader people-management and embedded-finance platform. The 2024 incorporation of Pontomais added HR digital (time tracking, scales, document management, payroll slips), and the SuperApp VR layered embedded credit products — FGTS anticipation, consignado (payroll-deducted credit), salary advance, and consortium — on top of the benefits-card base. VR is positioning itself as an end-to-end employer/employee financial platform in Brazil, competing with Alelo, Sodexo/Pluxee, Ticket and challengers like Caju and Flash.
