The story
Originally founded in 1994 as a standalone e-commerce payment platform, CyberSource was acquired by Visa in 2010 and became Visa's primary payment management and fraud solution for enterprise merchants. Over time it expanded beyond payment processing to include tokenization, tax calculation, installment plans, and AI-driven fraud decisioning. More recently it has been folded into the broader Visa Acceptance Solutions branding while retaining its own developer documentation and DPA infrastructure.
