“Can embedded eSignature become a white-label infrastructure primitive that vertical SaaS platforms resell as their own product, rather than a standalone brand end-users encounter?”
Verdocs was founded in 2020 in New York as embedded eSignature infrastructure for vertical SaaS. Rather than compete with DocuSign/Adobe Sign on standalone signing, it sells white-label, API-first signing that lives inside another SaaS platform's product, on that platform's own domain and brand. The business model is explicitly channel-only ('we sell through you, not around you') with usage-based envelope pricing designed to let vertical SaaS resell signing as their own SKU. PitchBook lists an earlier 2014 founding date for the legal entity, but the company itself dates its current embedded-signing focus to 2020.
