The story
TransactPay (Transact Payments Limited) is a Gibraltar-based EMI providing BIN sponsorship, e-money licensing, and virtual account services across the UK and EEA. It operates a sister Maltese EMI (TPML) under MFSA. In February 2025 Marqeta announced its acquisition of TransactPay to deepen its European card-issuing footprint. A separate Nigerian payment gateway also branded 'Transactpay' (transactpay.ai) appears in evidence but is a distinct entity.
