The story

Tietoevry was formed in 2019 through the merger of Tieto (Finland) and Evry (Norway), combining decades of Nordic banking IT expertise. The company has evolved from a traditional IT services provider into a financial technology infrastructure vendor, offering banks card issuing, acquiring processing, payment hubs, open banking APIs, and Banking as a Service. Its embedded finance push accelerated from 2021 onward, positioning Tietoevry as the white-label technology layer behind Nordic and European banks rather than a bank itself.
