Can The Access Group convert its multi-vertical ERP install base into a sticky embedded finance platform — payments, banking, lending, and compliance — that makes switching cost-prohibitive for UK and ANZ SMBs?

The story

The Access Group began as a UK ERP and business management software provider and has undergone sustained M&A-driven expansion across verticals — legal, hospitality, recruitment, health, charities, and local authorities. The strategic pivot toward embedded finance accelerated with the launch of Access PaySuite (payments, direct debit, open banking, merchant cash advance) and Access Evolve (AI-powered finance suite). The company is now embedding BaaS infrastructure via Griffin and compliance tooling via FrankieOne, transitioning from a pure-play SaaS vendor to a horizontal platform that monetises through embedded financial services layered on top of its ERP and vertical software products.
