The story

Currencycloud Spark is a product line within Currencycloud (acquired by Visa in 2021) that enables financial institutions and fintechs to offer named multi-currency accounts and FX capabilities under their own brand. It is not a standalone company but rather an embedded infrastructure product: the 'Spark' product layer handles international receivables, local clearing, and multi-currency payouts while the client owns the customer relationship. The product's key differentiator is that end-customers receive named accounts rather than pooled accounts, enabling a more bank-like international experience.
