The story

Pomelo launched in 2021 to give LatAm fintechs and embedded finance players a single API to issue cards and open virtual accounts with built-in compliance. Started with prepaid in Argentina in 2022, then expanded to credit, debit, BIN sponsorship, and processor-replacement use cases across the region. With the 2026 Series C the company is moving up the stack into stablecoin-native global cards and crypto/stablecoin payments — positioning itself as LatAm's full-stack issuing infrastructure (the regional Marqeta/Galileo).
