The story

Founded in 2003, Platcorp Group grew as a holding company for credit-only, non-bank lending subsidiaries across East and Southern Africa. By 2014, legacy systems constrained its pan-African expansion ambitions, prompting a shift to Mambu's cloud-native core banking platform, which enabled greenfield launches and significant automation savings. Today the group operates across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, South Africa, Zambia, Lesotho, and the Caribbean, delivering MSME and individual microfinance products alongside tailored insurance offerings under multiple branded subsidiaries.
