The story
Planet DDS is a cloud-based dental practice management software vendor (Denticon, Cloud 9 ortho, Apteryx imaging) serving DSOs and group practices. Over 2023-2025 it moved decisively into embedded finance — first with Denticon Pay (2023), then a Stripe-powered rebrand to Planet DDS Pay (2025), and an expanded CareCredit financing partnership (2026). The DentalOS platform and Open API strategy position Planet DDS as the financial and operational OS for multi-location dental groups.
