The story

Founded in 2023, Peanuds initially launched as a financial application combining payments and spend management for digitally focused SMBs, freelancers, and digital nomads in European startup hubs like Cyprus, Malta, and Portugal. Powered by Weavr's embedded finance infrastructure, the platform offered virtual IBANs, physical and virtual cards, and multi-currency wallets. By 2024–2025, Peanuds pivoted its go-to-market from being an end-user fintech app to positioning itself explicitly as a white-label card issuing and fintech infrastructure provider — enabling licensed institutions and fintech builders to launch their own branded financial products, effectively becoming a BaaS/CaaS vendor itself.
