The story

Founded in 2014 as a fleet fuel management and payment systems company based in Cape Town, Payment24 evolved into a white-label enterprise platform targeting oil companies, banks, and retailers to launch financial products under their own brand. The company built out a Cloud Switch acquiring platform that connects to multi-bank acquiring networks, forecourt controllers, POS terminals, and payment terminals, positioning itself as embedded payments infrastructure for the fuel and fleet vertical. A Mastercard partnership extended its reach into secure fleet card issuance, underscoring a shift from pure software to a payments-and-cards enablement model.
