Openway

Can a single composable payments software platform (Way4) serve as the core infrastructure for card issuing, acquiring, switching, wallets, and embedded lending across banks and fintechs globally?

The story

OpenWay is a B2B payment software vendor — not a financial institution itself — that develops and licenses the Way4 digital payments platform to banks, processors, acquirers, telcos, and fintechs worldwide. Originally focused on card management (issuing and acquiring), Way4 has evolved into a composable, modular platform covering the full payments stack: card issuing, merchant acquiring, payment switching, digital wallets, BNPL, and digital currencies. OpenWay's go-to-market is entirely through licensing Way4 to enterprise clients (Nexi, Shift4, Network International, Equity Bank, Lotte, etc.) rather than operating payment services itself.
