The story

Nuapay, operating as the trading name of Sentenial Ltd, started as a direct debit and bank transfer infrastructure provider for UK and European businesses. The company pivoted toward open banking early, becoming a licensed PISP and AISP in both the UK (FCA) and France (ACPR), and positioning itself as the 'industry's leading Account-2-Account payment environment.' It was subsequently acquired by GoCardless, which absorbed Nuapay's open banking capabilities to strengthen its own A2A payment offering, particularly for Instant Pay By Bank and SEPA/Faster Payments rails.
