The story

Founded in 2018 to address the immediate compliance challenge posed by PSD2: how can Account Servicing Payment Service Providers (ASPSPs) verify that third-party providers (TPPs) are legitimately regulated before granting API access? Konsentus built Konsentus Verify, aggregating data from 30+ EEA National Competent Authority registers, 73+ Qualified Trust Service Providers, and 2 EBA Central Registers into a single API. Over time the company broadened its scope from EU/EEA PSD2 compliance to a global open finance trust framework infrastructure offering, serving regulators and central banks in Europe, North America, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia. It subsequently added the Transparency Directory product to support dispute management and market insight across open ecosystems.
