GiveWise Foundation Canada was established as a registered charity to democratize access to Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) for everyday Canadian donors, historically a vehicle reserved for high-net-worth individuals. It evolved from a basic DAF administrator into a full digital giving platform by embedding modern payment rails via VoPay, displacing inefficient cheque-based and legacy donation processes. Its GiveGenius product further expanded the platform's scope to allow charities to accept complex, non-cash gifts such as securities, cryptocurrency, and estate gifts without needing in-house expertise. The company now operates as both a DAF provider and a white-label giving infrastructure layer for Canadian charities.
