The story

Geru was founded in 2013 as a leading Brazilian unsecured-personal-loan marketplace, operating as a banking correspondent of Banco AndBank (Brasil). In March 2021 it merged with Rebel to form Open Co, consolidating consumer-credit operations. The geru.com.br domain has since been repurposed: it now hosts 'Achados da Geru / Achados Amazon', a free affiliate deal-curation site for Amazon Brasil that explicitly does not sell, process payments, or store financial data. The lending business effectively lives inside Open Co; the standalone Geru brand on geru.com.br today is a content/affiliate property, not a fintech.
