The story

Fintoc launched in 2020 as a Plaid-style bank-data API in Chile, then pivoted decisively to account-to-account (A2A) payment initiation as its core wedge — positioning A2A as a lower-cost alternative to Visa/Mastercard card rails in LATAM. Expansion to Mexico (over SPEI/CoDi) followed the same pattern. In 2025 Fintoc became a regulated CPF issuer in Chile, turning it from a pure PSP into licensed payments infrastructure with its own wallet/account primitives. In 2026 it stretched into agentic commerce, exposing its payment stack to AI agents via an MCP server.
