The story

Founded in 2000 as Seat24, one of the first online flight booking companies in Scandinavia, Etraveli evolved through mergers and acquisitions into a multi-brand OTA group by 2007. After CVC Capital Partners' acquisition in 2017, the company pivoted from a consumer-focused travel group toward a B2B flight technology platform, building out infrastructure products like Tripstack (B2B Flights-as-a-Service), PRECISION (fintech/fraud prevention), and Wenrix (AI revenue optimization). A failed $1.83B acquisition by Booking Holdings (blocked by the EU Commission in 2023) cemented its path as an independent global flight tech platform, with KKR taking a minority stake in 2025 at a $3.1B valuation.
