“Can an SMB identity-and-card-revenue graph become the default KYB/underwriting data layer for US banks and payment platforms?”
Founded 2012 as a public-data search startup, Enigma won TechCrunch Disrupt NY 2013 and raised a Comcast-Ventures-led Series A on the thesis of structuring US government data. Over time it narrowed from a generic data platform into vertical SMB intelligence, building an identity graph on 30M+ US businesses combined with an anonymized card-transaction panel sourced from top US issuers. In 2022 it spun off Prime as a dedicated SMB-lending platform, and today Enigma sells KYB, screening, GTM, payment-risk, and card-revenue data primarily to banks, card issuers, and payment platforms — Capital One and 21 of the top 30 US banks are named customers.
Enigma was founded by Marc DaCosta, Hicham Oudghiri, Jeremy Bronfmann and Raphaël Guilleminot and is founded in 2012, headquartered in New York, NY, USA.
