The story

Element began as a traditional fleet leasing and management company and went public in 2011 as the largest pure-play automotive fleet manager in the world. Over the past decade it has evolved from a pure leasing/operational platform into an intelligent mobility SaaS business — layering connected-vehicle data, risk management/insurance, driver productivity tools, and, most recently, embedded vehicle-initiated payments via the Car IQ acquisition. The 2025 launch of Element Risk Solutions and the Car IQ deal signal a deliberate move toward becoming a vertically integrated fleet financial-services and connected-payments ecosystem, directly monetizing data, insurance, and transactional spend across the vehicle lifecycle.
