The story

Dynatrace was founded in 2005 as an application performance monitoring (APM) tool, was acquired by Compuware in 2011, then spun out as an independent entity in 2014 backed by Thoma Bravo. The company repositioned itself from a traditional APM vendor into an AI-powered software intelligence platform (the 'Davis AI' engine) covering observability, security, and business analytics. It went public in 2019 and has since expanded its platform into cloud-native environments, DevSecOps, and AIOps. Dynatrace does not operate embedded finance products; it is a B2B SaaS platform whose customers include financial institutions such as Temenos.
