The story

DataMesh started in 2018 as an Australian payments switch and terminal-management technology company building agile alternatives to legacy bank POS infrastructure. After NAB Ventures led a $30M Series A in 2023 to modernise NAB's business POS, the company pivoted toward becoming an APAC ecommerce payment orchestrator — a thesis solidified by Deutsche Bank's 2024–2025 strategic investment and Merchant Solutions partnership across Asia. It now positions itself as the switch layer enabling banks (NAB, Deutsche, ANZ Worldline, Fiserv) to deliver embedded payment acceptance and loyalty.
