The story

Founded 2020 by Bill Flanagan (whose prior company built one of the earliest managed PBJ solutions for CMS reporting) and Jackie Ramieri, CareWork targets the LTPAC/senior-living niche with a workflow automation and BI layer over the operator's existing EHR, HR, labor, procurement, and financial systems. In 2025 the company rebranded the product as 'HQ by CareWork', repositioning from an operations platform to a pre-built BI platform with standardized KPIs and CMS benchmarking. Notably, despite serving finance/procurement/payroll workflows, CareWork is a pure analytics/reporting layer — it moves no money and embeds no financial products.
