The story

Founded in 2014 by Pierre Lévy as a B2B logistics and ordering platform for restaurateurs to source from the Rungis market (the world's largest fresh produce market), Califrais grew into an AI-powered food supply chain platform. The company won the bid to operate rungismarket.com over Amazon and Cdiscount, cementing its market position. In 2022 it partnered with Stef (a cold-chain logistics group) and used Karmen revenue-based financing to scale without dilution, while simultaneously launching a DTC marketplace with Stripe Connect.
