The story

Founded in 1998 as a neutral inter-bank messaging and electronic bill of lading (eBL) network, Bolero evolved into a full-stack cloud-native trade finance digitisation platform under the Galileo brand. The company progressively expanded from document distribution to multi-bank trade finance orchestration for corporates, and then moved into white-labelled bank-facing SaaS (Galileo TPaaS for Banks) — becoming the rails rather than just the registry. In 2022, WiseTech Global acquired Bolero to integrate global trade documentation into its CargoWise logistics platform, positioning Bolero's eBL and LC workflow capabilities within a broader supply-chain software ecosystem.
